Who makes a good scout-type scope mount for the Swedish Mauser Model-96? Where are they available?

These are the type for LER scopes that replace the rear sight on the barrel.

(I'm hoping to hear from someone who actually knows this information rather than initiating a discussion about scope placement, etc.)

I used a B-Square mount and put a 1.5x Burris Scout scope on it. I found it deadly fast and gave me an edge on iron sights. I found the mount ok, not overly solid feeling, but it seemed to hold its sight in.

I'm thinking about one of these. It leaves the military sight in place so you can use it see through style. My only concern is how high the scope will be. Too high would mess with the cheek weld.

I know S+K (http://www.scopemounts.com/index.html?main.html
)makes one that comes with their own rings but it won't work with any Weaver system rings...and its expensive. B-Square seems too flimsy for me. Brenshock (scoutmount.com ) doesn't show very well how their mount works, and neither does accumount.

Actually, with a 75 cent Canadian dollar plus the cost of shipping and then taxes and import duty, they all seem expensive. Maybe I'll make my own. I have an old copy of Rifle magazine that explains how to make a mount to fit on a Mauser type scope base. Or I'll go back to S+K...it does seem way more solid than the others. The dealings I have had with S+K in the past have all been very positive.

Does anybody have actual experience with anything aside from the B-Square mount?

This isnt helping much but I put a B square on my daughters rifle when I first put it together for her with a BSA LER scope. Has functioned well for 10 years, solid, killed 4 deer with it. It has been a reliable platform for us
