Ran across a video on YouTube while researching lights that had the reviewers trying the Inforce APL on their M&P 45 along with some 40 S&W and 9mm guns and showed the light fly off the rail even when 'securely' mounted.

Is this a Gen 1/1.5 issue only? Or is this kind of expected behaviour with the current bunch of them? Were these guys just a bunch of clowns

Really like the look of them, but don't want to get something that will fly off the rail if applying momentary pressure (or really, any kind of pressure). Would be mounting this on the FNX 45...so the video below doesn't inspire much confidence, has anyone else experienced this?

The video I'm referring to here (recent as of this past December, so not sure if anything has changed):

No issues on my 1911 with 200+ rounds shot (not with applying momentary pressure all the time)

Mine is secure, in video they pull it off the guns with ease.

I think this was only an issue with some of the early models. I saw one fly off at a course a couple of years ago. The instructor was doing some T and E for the company, gave them direct feed back and they quickly corrected the issue. I think they are GTG now.

That was me that had issues with the very earliest models. I'm friends with the owners of Inforce and it has since been fixed. My current APL has been on my Glock for over 6000 rounds and has not yet failed.

That's good to know, now if only Bladetech included them on their options list, would love this on my FNX, but as I'm discovering now, limited holster options.

I'm guessing the one I played with a couple weeks ago was an old one then? It would pop off under rapid fire pretty quick.
