Information on this firearm

This has been in the family for years. Trying to find out any info on it, story is that it was used in the Crysler's farm war but can not find any marking on it except a faint F. there is no buoyant just the rod. The rifling is hard to see but i can feel it. Maybe it was used in the Crysler farm war as maybe people took what ever they had.

there is rifling in the barrel.

About 50 years too late. Looks to be a sported Austrian Lorenz, which was imported in quantity and used during the US Civil War.

Yup. Only flintlocks during Napoleonic War years.

It's the short rifle variant of the "Lorenz", specifically the Model 1854 Jagerstutzen.
