Just started Cowboy Action Shooting and because you "have" to have two pistols I bought a used .357 Virginian Dragoon to go with my Ruger Blackhawk.
Interarms are long since out of business, so no luck trying there. Are there any Single Action enthusiasts who can tell me when it was made?

Serial number starts: A04*** I have checked out some Googled sites but can only guess it was made when Interarms stopped importing them from Hammerli. They started making them in Midland Virginia around 1974. The site also mentioned not many .357's were made, and most not until 1979-1981

Buddy I said shoot the gophers not the golfers
Golf clubs are a waste of a good rifle range!:)

If you regularly search on auction sites, you could get an idea of types and periods (auctionarms, gunsamerica, gunbroker).

Does it have the top of the frame serration?

yes it has the sight groove but adjustable rear sight, and has the grooves on either side of the top strap. On the bottom of the butt it has the snake logo with "Don't Tread On me"

I used to have one in .44 Rem Mag with a 7 1/2 barrel.

A guy at work had one too. Their logo's were; "Don't Tread On Me" and "We The People."

If you want something cool for Cowboy Action Shooting, I would just look for a Uberti in .44-40 or .45 Long Colt, if I was you.
