Hi folks:
I was looking for good deals on used equipment and one of the prerequisites for viewing the exchange was posting a message in the "Greeting and Introduction" section. I kind of thought that forum might be seen as some sort of purity test and recruiting tool to make sure only the (alt-)right kind of people feel comfortable here, but rules are rules.

I was actually surprised. Folks took offense but no death threats at all or anything too untoward.
There was a lot of "you don't belong here" type posts though. To be honest, they might have a point. That said, CGN and r/CanadaGuns are two of the best resources available for Canadians to learn more about this sport/hobby/livelihood. That's especially true for noobs like me that skew far more mainstream than many of the most prolific contributors on this site.
Is there a tiny subcorner of CGN where folks like me can ask dumb questions about the boat tail projectile design, occasionally make dumb jokes about the folks who lust for "scary" looking guns while salivating at the notion of killing a burglar, and complain about 6.5 Creedmoor rounds being so goddamn expensive, without attracting the wrong (i.e. alt-right) kind of attention? It could even be called the "Traitor Fudd Snowflake Libtard Forum for Everything That's Wrong with Anything" Forum so long as it was an echo chamber of a different sort.
It'd be a handy way to help get more folks like me into shooting. For any CCFR/C3 members mentioned in the above linked article reading this, the easiest way to reverse the OIC is for more people like me to support purchasing firearms (ostensibly to defend ourselves against people like you, but still, that's a win-win!) /s
Are there any moderators or somesuch that might be willing to set something like that up? It'd be a troll target for sure, and maybe no one would post at all (more than likely), but it sounds like there might be a need. Just a thought.
Thanks all!
