I got an CGN infraction for posting that I had some Muller chokes for sale. The infraction said to post it in the Equipment Exchange Forum which does NOT exist! It don't matter as it sold within a few minutes on the sporting clay forum of shotgunworld! We Canadians do have a different persepctive on some things..........So petty looking at the small stuff and not of the big picture!

There are so many forums around the world in many languages that would not blink at a posting selling something in a forum about......... Is it personal? Could be!

A professional way of dealing with this would be to publicly post a notice that it might not be accetable to the owners of the site. That the post should include pricing in the the for sale section and not delete the posting.

Henry;)

DO you want some glass cleaner? I can spare it. Look down, way down.

Right below the SHotgun EE is a subforum for shotgun parts.

How to Gain Access to the Equipment Exchange Forums (Rules & Guidelines)

It's not like the rules are that hard to understand. You picked a strange place to take a stand.

Rather than insisting the rules don't apply to you (because you find them silly) maybe it would be easier to just post in the correct section next time. I'm sure it's just a means of keeping things organized and not about oppressing you.

Kinda like someone worrying about a CGN Infraction and then whining about it :). C'mon Henry, put on your big-boy pants...you posted in the wrong section and you didn't list a price...seems wrong to blame others or make it out to be a personal attack on you.

Well Henry, as the one who gave you the infraction, I'm curious about your accusation that it is personal. Although it is possible, I'm not sure that I've ever met you. I don't think we've conversed much in this venue and when we have I don't think it was anything but cordial.

As your board colleagues have indicated, there definitely is an equipment exchange forum dedicated to shotguns and a sub-forum dedicated to shotgun-parts. The rules about keeping sales out of the discussion forums are pretty well known, as is CGN's policy requiring pricing for items for sale.

From there you call into question my professionalism. Generally when I find posts in the wrong area, or otherwise in minor violation of CGN Policy I will simply send a PM or issue a warning. When I looked at your infraction record, you have previously been 'infracted' for similar EE violations, yet proceeded to do the same things again.

Care to expand on your accusations?

Brad.

I do not mean to hijack, but would like to know WHY Henry is selling his mullers especially after his rave reviews?

Google is your friend.

Thanks for that. I keep forgetting...computer term, domination or humiliation... Nasty stuff... Poor old Henry. All he did was complain and whinge a bit then imply that the universe was out to get him personally. Jeez, I do that every day and people just write it off as another oldster talking when he should be listening. Come on BM nobody would believe you would be personal about this stuff. You are too solid in your comments on the forum for one thing.
