Inglis Browning Hi Power

Inglis BHP's machine easily. However, given that they're not being made anymore and will lose collector value if you machine off the factory rear sight, you may want to look into a commercial slide or another slide.
Marstar is listing a stripped Inglis slide for $139. That'd do nicely. They're sold out of commercial slides. They were $149.

agreed i would say look for a second slide

Slide, barrel and frame should all have matching numbers! Taking a several hundred dollar Inglis and turning it into a few hundred dollar mismatched handgun should be a lesson learned, not a lesson repeated.

"...use the second slide as a shooter..." Exactly. To get the front and rear sights to work together you have to either machine off the existing rear sight(assuming it's not the tangent style) or machine the hump to accept an adjustable(S&W sights work well) and change the front sight for a higher one.
Buying another slide makes the job not only easily doable, but you don't destroy the collector value. Machining runs around $100 per hour too.
