Hi,
Anyone know of anywhere or anyone that does the Canada Lend Lease decals that was on the front strap of Inglis No2 Mk1 pistols of wartime vintage.

Cheers
Danny

I made them first then Koldt took over. His are a bit nicer than mine from what I've seen. I'm not sure if I have any left but I could do another run sometime. Give him a shout first and see if he still has any.

The Lend/Lease Act was strictly American legislation designed to get around their neutrality. There was no Canadian version. The Inglis decal was a nationalist thing.

You are partially correct, the term "Lend Lease" is just the easiest way of getting the point across, it is not a formal Canadian term.

You are wrong however in believing that there wasn't a similar Canadian program. IIRC it was refered to as "Mutual Aid" ~ that is where all the 8mm Brens, 9mm Hi-Powers ect. came from.

Why do Canadians always bring up topics that piss me off! What am I talking about? A number of years ago I could have purchased an Inglis with an intact Maple Leaf! Did I buy it? No, I procrastinated and it is another deal I kick myself for not doing. Topics like this make me rethink my pro Canada attitude. Fear not, I still love my Canadian cousins. Regards, Richard:D

We love you too, Richard! (in a purely platonic way, of course)
