Recently bought a well used HP Mark 1* and Inglis Canada stamped on slide. Fixed sights, no lanyard loop.Frame and slide have matching serial numbers 68### but the barrel has no serial numbers. Upon close inspection the frame has markings on the left side, above and behind the trigger that appear to be the Nazi eagle and WAB140.

My research shows me those marks mean it was a nazi gun but it makes no sense as it the slide says Inglis Canada.

Any information on the date of manufacture of this gun and the markings would be appreciated.

Sounds like the slide was force matched to an FN frame.

I got the same deal going on with mine, frame finish being totally off color:

Now if only someone was selling an Inglis frame...

Your pistol is a Belgium HP. All Inglis pistols had either a 1T000 or 1CH000 style of serial number. Someone built it from at least 2 different guns. I have a Canadian Inglis, a Chinese Inglis and German marked HP.

so the slide marked Inglis canada, someone must have had or remarked the serial numbers on the slide or frame as the numbers match? So does this mean the gun is worthless, just an everyday shooter?
