I picked up a lonely butt stock for an Inglis Hi Power a few years back. My plan all along has been to buy the corresponding pistol for it - I know, the logic is a little backwards, but it seemed like a good reason to buy another gun.

It seems I may have a chance to pick up a pistol complete with the stock, so I was wondering what a very nice stock is worth now if I was to sell the spare? It is in very, very nice condition. I'm not sure if I will get a chance to post photos anytime soon, so what kind of ballbark should I be looking at if I decide to sell it?

Just reviving my old thread. I have picked up the Inglis with the stock, so now it's time to sell the spare. Are there any more suggestions about price now that I have the photos? The belt hanger is going with it, by the way. You can see the SAL markings clearly, and the last photo shows what appears to be an inspector mark. No "MADE IN CANADA" stamp, and I'm confident this is an original, not a Chinese copy.

That thing reminds me of the wood stock used on the Mauser C96. I thought it was one of the few, if only, pistols to get issued with a wood stock that served as a carrying device as well as a stock.

The inglis stocks were built for the chinese high power contract and they had lots of mausers. so it seems the stocks were copied for the inglis.
