Inglis serial numbers and engraving?

Like I said earlier in this post, the crossed flags is the standard commonwealth military proof tested mark, you will see that most commonwealth military's used it, here is a picture I found on the web to help you all understand what I am talking about -

The Inglis Diamond was a company trademark that was no doubt applied to a lot of other things produced by Inglis. I have a number of late 1940s-early 1960s vintage Shakespeare fishing reels that were license produced by Inglis. Several show the Inglis Diamond.
