Melted up my summer gatherings of wheel weights and fishing weights from nets. 1,100 pounds of ingots poured into 4 pound ingots. Brings my total to just over 3,000 pounds. Have it all in a 8x10 shed. Can't believe the floor has not gave way. Need to find another place to store lead or shoot more. LOL

I know how the pile of lead look like. The real question is where it can be sourced in such amassment and how much time and money it would take.

gd that is one nice melting set up. I know where you could “store” a few hundred pounds of that lead. I’d like to test the floor of my shed. Just sayin!

Gave my buddy 1000+ lb of wheel w and pure lead ingots and 400+ of pure sheet lead. I’m still not short. Hunted it hard years ago when I did a lot of black powder.

It is a thing of beauty. My best score of lead, was wrecked sailboat with lead shot ballast. 480lbs...all mine for the taking as long as I hauled away the wooden hull...grinning all the way to my firepit...

I am having a hell of a time finding weights in my area. Apparently some "scrap dealer" beat me to it, everywhere.
