Ingram SAM-1 rifles?

Hey... Make a 5.7x28mm m1 Carbine! Be still my beating heart...
Different bolt face, magazine and barrel. Done?
Why? Coyote legal on PEI.

Hmmm neck down a .30 carbine case to .223 bullet diameter. Wish I had the knowledge & tools to try this stuff.

could just reload .30 carbine with sabot and load .223 bullets

Sabots seem to work okay in the tank guns!

As well, lotsa dead deer from Accelerator rounds.

So-called "Black powder" crowd use a lot of them, too.

I wonder what you could actually do with a saboted .30 Carbine round. Velocity up the wazoo! Have to use a HORNET 37-grain or 40-grain slug: really slow twist in Carbines.

30-06 can get them up to 4000fps

meh. According to some 3rd hand info from the SAWS program, the saboted projectiles they were using in some of the submissions were causing insanely high breech pressures like around 60 k. I don't know if the Remington Accelerators of early 1980's vintage were much better. Of course the saws rounds were mainly steel darts with not much 'give' when they were being shot no doubt.
