When i was in china i actually saw their military doing some sort of march with flashy SKSs like these so i doubt they all get issued one. In most places there was a very high presence of police, security and military and i didnt get the feeling they were out there to protect the people...more likely preventing unlawful assembly/protest. Quite an eye opening experience.

If they were intended for parade use only then they wouldn't need to fold, they might not even fire anymore. but who knows, I doubt NK is going to say either way.
