INSAS: our chances of ever getting one of these?

I came across this today, something I had never seen, and think is kinda neat. look at the mish-mash of parts one of these things is made of! I wonder if a savvy canadian dealer could get a S/A only order of these...of course, anyone with a some AK, FAL and enfield parts lying around could build one...frankengun...

It's alot like a Galil. It would be banned as a variant of the AK methinks.

There was a big complaint from the Nepalese army that the Insas was a substandard weapon that failed miserably in cold weather combat against Maoists rebels. They were very upset. India is counter arguing that they functioned fine with thier army.

Until they get quality worked out it wont matter if its legal or not.

But as far as I am concerned it will be banned as an AK variant.
