Install rail on Tavor.

You have to remove the meprolight sight.

Tools needed should be : Multi-bit screwdriver kit (I can't remember the size needed), a tavor barrel wrench and a pointed punch

-You start by removing the two hex screws at the front of the handguard and you remove it.

-Remove the little cotter pin on the right side of the front sling swivel, watch out, It flies!!

-Unscrew the front sling swivel and take out the two parts.

-Remove the top, its a tricky part, if I remember you have to move the plastic cover at the front before you can actually move the charging handle over some metal stopper.

-Now use the punch on the barrel lock on the left side of the rifle, its a small round metal part, when pushed on, a part of it will swivel. Make sure you can see its tip underside.

-While doing so, use your barrel wrench in the slot on right side and turn it until it face the white mark.

-Pull the barrel out, just make sure the gas cylinder and the charging handle guide stays in the receiver, they might come out when you take off the barrel.

-Now unscrew the two bolts at the base of the M-21 sight, put on your brand new rail.

-Reassemble by reversing the process described

-Install some bad ass optics

-Take some pictures and post them here ;)

I am an idiot before you posted I kinda figured it out on my own. But when it came to the Barrel lock. I didn't press it in and turned the barrel wrench breaking the barrel lock. Now I am worried my barrel won't stay tight when its reassembled. Do you think a gunsmith could fix this for me?

Oh Jesus ! We all screw up one time or another aren't we ? Which part has broken, is it the little swiveling lock itself ? Or the whole plate itself ? Perhaps CanAm can get you that part.

Damn my RAID crash, I lost the armorer manual PDF and I can't find it here anymore

I don't remember how it is placed within the locking plate, but I assume that it moves on a pin. If CanAm can send you one by any means you might be able to put it yourself. Taking down this rifle to bare parts is very easy with a few tools, along with the armorer manual that is... CanAm had a download link sometimes ago, he may send it to you I'm sure.

Info

999, for your rail:

- I am guessing snug and then finger tight and using Loctite Blue. (Not the permanent stuff)

- Also for clearance, over the rear site, for an optic (scope) you will need a clearance of at least 0.55 from rail to bottom of scope tube / ring base height. Since 15mm = .6 (center point above ring base) then you are looking at rings that are at least 1.15 has anyone scoped their TAR21 with a 999 rail?

- sh*t, my spare NF rings are 1.0
