Installing 3-rail on benelli mr1

Is there someone out there who did it?
Supposed to drill 31/64 in holes on the hanguard. That is near half inch!
Bit worried.

Depends on how you want to do it, What rail you have, and what hardware you want to use.

But honestly I have to ask why? What do you plan to mount? Not that I care what you do with your property.... rather curiosity.

Does your MR1 not have the mounting spot for the factory trI tail? Should be the same as the beretta cx4 one.

A bipod. Yes it has the small spots for drilling. My worry is from the instructions: drilling a 31/64 inch hole in each spot. It’s just that it’s almost half inch. The spot are really less than that.

An you post a picture? As the factory tri-rail does not require drilling.

I don’t remember the holes being that big when I installed mine… I don’t have it anymore so can’t verify.

I bet that the holes are supposed to be 13/64 and not 31/64. Typo.

Finally used a 5/64 drill wick, everything works as it should. Just made sure that the diameter of the bit is on par with the pre hole in the handguard
