Installing a front sight on a Ruger American 308. Anyone done it?

I'd like to pick up a Ruger American 308 but love the front sight on the Ruger Scout. Anyone on here try to make that happen or have a BC gunsmith suggestion?

Rusty Wood cut the barrel on my Rem 7600 and then re installed the front sight.

Peter does good work.
