Well I bought some 1" med. rings for my .22lr (cooey 64 11m rail),
They are some aluminium ring with 1 screw on each side to hold the scope.
I installed the rings first, put the scope in, (Busnell Banned 3x9x40), and put the screws tights.
I went to the range and sometimes it look like it don't hold the zero, but after close inspection, the scope has backed off in the rings.
It had about 0.5" before eyepieces and it was now stuck down.
Scope looked pretty tight in the ring so I don't understand how it could have moved...
So back at home, I took some aluminium foil, put 2ply all around the scope under the ring and tighted the screws.
Did I make something wrong first? I never installed a scope before and I guess the shims should work but I'd like some oppinion.
I'll take some pics when I get home.
