Installing a sling on synthetic stock

I have a Ruger 10/22 Snow Camo synthetic stock with the barrel band and i'm wondering how to install swivels. Because its a hollow stock i'm a bit worried that the swivel screws won't grab enough and either strip or come loose. Any tips? Thanks.

Use Uncle Mike's!
Install the screw and nut style Uncle Mike's QD stud on the rear. Just remove the butt plate to secure the nut onto the QD stud post. If you use the front one designed for the 10-22, you'll have no problem. It installs on the screw that holds the barrel band on.....

Yes I'm going to use the 10/22 Uncle Mikes barrel band kit. But the stock doesn't have a butt plate. Its molded into the stock. I was thinking of using some sort or resin or goop to secure the screw. Any other tips? Thanks gunasauras

OK, then drill the hole for the QD stud as normal, but fill it with epoxy (Devcon, etc) before screwing the stud in. Clean up the excess after screwing the stud in et voila......where you located in MB? I have the proper drills for installing those studs.....if you are close to Brandon, I'ld be willing to help you out.....drop me a PM....
