Installing an ambi safety

I have a tanfoglio combat that I want to put an ambi safety on; anyone done this to this pistol or a comparable? Internally it's essentially a cz. My mechanical skills are alright, but I'm no smith. Is this something that can be attempted by a somewhat competent amateur or should I get a smith to do it?

What do ya think? What's the worst thing I could pooch trying it myself?

You could end up with a non-functioning safety.
It's best to fit the sear to the safety rather than the safety to the sear. A little goes a long way so go slow and test-fit often.
