Installing my VQ extractor

ok i installed my VQ extractor on my 10/22

question is it came with a shorter spring than the stock one, it says to use the factory spring on a mkii or mkiii?

i just installed the one that came with the cq package (shorter one)

which one should i have used?

I believe the Mk II and III references are to the .22 Ruger pistol- they use the same extractor IIRC.
