I just picked up a new Tactical Ghost Ring Sight set made by XS Sight Systems. Its the Standard front dot with tritium and winged rear. Part # RE-1001-4
I'm planning on installing it on my Remington 870 Synthetic Express (seven round version) with 18" bbl. Right now it has the standard Remington front sight with bead. The new XS sight requires a dovetail.
I'm guessing I'm going to have to silver solder a dovetailed ramp onto the barrel in order to mount the XS front sight? Anybody else do this? Just wondering how you'll get the right height for front and rear to work properly?
