Cool - looks like a ball of fire ahead of the muzzle, so bullet is likely already on the way down range - more fire yet to emerge??
^ Yes, bullet is down range.
I was video taping my shooting, I just wanted to look at my shooting position, to try to see how bad/good I was on the rifle.
So after, when scrolling through the video frame-by-frame, I stumbled onto this image. I didn't plan this, never expected it at all, but when I saw that it was like, "Wow... cool" (or so I thought)..
Also of course I scrolled right through the entire recoil process, shot reaction. It is interesting thing to do, I think.
At 60 frames per second it's pretty wild what you can capture.
Edit to add: for the record, that is a vintage Remington M700, .30-06 shooting 180gr Hornady BTSP at ~2730fps.
