Interchangable Dies???

Here is a noobie question but are dies from a certain maker (ie. Lee, RCBS...) work with others or are Lee dies only good for Lee presses???

You can use RCBS dies in Lee presses and vice versa. I'm not aware of any cases where that doesn't work.

If your press and dies both have 7/8"-14mm threads they are interchangable, I have Lee press and RCBS dies.

Thats good to know. I don't have anything yet but was looking at getting a lee starter kit. A buddy of mine has a die set made from rcbs and just wanted to know if they would worl together... Thanks all

"...7/8"-14mm..." The '14' isn't mm's. It's the number of threads per inch. In any case, except for some old Lee equipment, 7/8-14 is the industry standard thread.

Some old Lyman dies ( True-line I believe) had there own thread size, as well as the dies for 310 tools, but now most dies use a standard size of 7/8x14 unless they say otherwise like for the Dillon SQUARE DEAL PRESS.
