Interest in 308 Palma srp brass

I think it all depends on how good the brass is ? I mean they make some stuff for unique cartridges so they have to have a pretty good product I’ve just never dealt with it myself (outside of some in 50-90 in my cartridge photography collection.) Currently lots of Starline making its way up here and seems to be the easiest to find. I think Lapua put the SRP .308 brass production on hold so there is less on the market.

There is definitely a need for more SRP with LRP being nothing but a fairytale these days…

Not been overly impressed with Bertram stuff, wouldn't call it match grade at all, and it's not cheap.
Peterson, Lapua, Starline already make good srp 308, I wouldn't buy any Bertram.
 
The star line stuff I bought was garbage and no more lapua. I havent seen any Peterson for sale up here yet….

Sounds like there’s not a lot of interest in it anyways. They said they’d have to do a run of about 10k cases to make it worthwhile and it would be expensive.

I contacted nosler because I think they’re the next best case and they gave me a hard no.

Everybody’s machines are already running flat out building other stuff.

So far my Starline stuff has been good but I’m also not chasing anything crazy with it. Just for practice and fun with a .308 range toy. About to start development on a new hunting load for the rifle. Also got some SRP 6.5 Creed coming to go with a barrel I just picked up for plinking as well. (Didn’t need it seeing as I have a 6.5 prc and 6.5x55 Swede but couldn’t say no to the barrel price.)

Thanks for the pm. I’ll grab some Peterson brass and see how it shoots while I wait for hirsch to get some lapua in.

I ended up buying some nosler premium awhile ago and I’m using my sacred last couple thousand Lrp to shoot. I’ve been hanging onto the large primers for my hunting rifles so I don’t end up unable to shoot them at some point and keeping my high volume stuff to small primers. Nosler is really nice brass too, but expensive.
