I'm posting this to see what kind of interest there would be in a BCPRL gas gun/DMR type match to be hosted at the Pemberton range. I always thought that the (stillborn) PRS Gas Gun Series looked cool so this would be my take on it.

The format would require (roughly) 100 rds and consist of 6 stages. 1/2 the stages would be unlimited round counts and 1/2 (not necessarily the same 1/2) would also have a pistol component. Rifle targets would be steel from 100-470 and possibly some close range paper and pistol targets would be steel 100yds and in. Target sizes would mostly be about 3 moa with some smaller bonus point targets. Scoring would be done in the typical "PRS" style with 1 pt per impact however all stages would be timed (like with tie breaker stages in PRS).

The intention would be for the course of fire to suit a fairly accurate AR (1.5moa) with a magnified optic (something like a 2-10 or 3-12 would probably be ideal but I'll most likely try and proof it out with a 3x Elcan to see if it's feasible). I assume a service rifle setup should be good to go. Classes would be tac light (.223) tac heavy (.308) and open (anything else). It wouldn't be restricted to semis but the COF will be written to benefit gas guns vs bolt guns. If you want an idea of what it looks like, there are some videos online from the few PRS Gas Gun Series matches there were. If you've shot the matches I've run in Pemberton before, the stages will be similar with regards to the pistol components but more generous sized rifle targets as well as making use of targets from 200y and in (whereas normally I do 300 and out). I'd figure on having the long range open for people to show up early and get dope out to 470 if they need to prior to the match. Thoughts?

I'd be in.

Not sure my X95 would be the best fit though (accuracy is questionable), I am building a Modern Sporter though which would work quite nicely.
