I'd been planning on running a DMR/precision gas gun match up here in Pemberton (wouldn't count towards BCPRL points but would most likely run under the BCPRL umbrella, if that makes sense) before those ####-pumps in Ottawa let loose with the utter nonsense that is the OIC (and everything that has spewed forth since). Then bul#### covid lockdowns and all this other nonsense. In any case, it's starting to feel like our rulers will soon allow us to gather in groups larger than 10 (yay!!
) so I'm thinking of re-visiting the idea. Obviously our options are much more limited than they were a year ago. Are there enough guys with carbines that shoot about 2 moa or less that would be interested in such a match? Format would be pistol and rifle with targets from 10 yards to 470, rifle targets inside 50-75 yards would be paper and the smallest targets would be 2 moa but most would be around 3 moa (or bigger). Ideal setup would be something in .223 that shoots sub-2moa with a 1-6/8/10 LPVO or a 2.5-10 (or similar) with offset red dot. I wouldn't tell someone they couldn't run a bolt gun but you'd be at a serious disadvantage on the close targets (think box drill/mozambique/etc). Stage design would be similar to PRS-style matches but more "hit to move on" and unlimited round count stages, real similar to the now discontinued PRS Gas Gun series (or DMR matches stateside). Any thoughts?
