After doing a ton of reading online and watching various YouTube vids I had a chance to handle a SIG P320 at Cabelas the other day and came away very impressed with the feel of the gun. The medium grip frame feels like it was made just for me although I wasn’t able to try the trigger for reach or pull as they don’t allow you to dry fire (understandable). I didn’t happen to notice if it had the newest version of the trigger shoe on it… not super worried about that but I did read a fair number of posts about owners experiencing trigger bite/pinch/slap with the original version...any owners on here care to chime in about the trigger? Anyway I’d be very interested in picking up one of these pistols but same ol’ (Canadian) story…trying to outfit it with just a very few accessories is next to impossible. On my short wish list I’d really like a different set of sights on it and the ability to change the recoil spring weight to be reliable and smooth shooting with minor power factor reloads. Dawson Precision has a plain serrated rear sight with fiber optic front but they don’t export out of the US. Gray Guns has a replacement uncaptured recoil spring rod which allows you to use 1911 springs but same deal, no exports. I looked at our resident site sponsor who imports all the naughty dangerous stuff we shouldn’t have, but it looks to me like a $200 import/export fee per item, which just doesn’t work with the value of the items. I guess this is a recurring theme on here, but anyone have any novel suggestions where a guy might source either of those items?
I know I could just buy it and shoot it as is, and I still might (not like the add-ons are going to make me a better shot ), but like I always do I'd just like to change a few things and make it mine.. Thanks all..

Double Tap can get in Dawson sights from what Josko tells me. The trigger is just fine for me, no issues with bite at all. Great pull and nice short reset. I would change the sights to fibre optic when I get some cash (old eyes), but for now the night sights on mine are good enough. Solely Cdn has a great holster by the way if you are looking for one. Great quality. The only other striker fired gun that I find similar or better is a Glock 34. But I started pistol shooting with Glocks so a little biased.

I have seen a couple of 'trigger slap' complaints online, but I have not experienced it myself. I actually find it difficult to believe-it is a great gun!

Thanks for the replies! I'll check with DT and see what the word is on the sights. My eyes are getting older too, and I find the fiber optics very helpful in picking the sights up initially and getting the quick and dirty alignment. I'm currently shooting a G34 that I really do like, but you know what they say about the grass being greener...I'm tempted to pick up the 320 and do nothing to it initially while I decide if I like it better than the Glock. It's the ergos that have me looking for something new. Especially up here the aftermarket for the Glock is pretty hard to beat, but I think there are a few pistols that fit and point a little better for me. I have seen similar sentiments about the trigger issue elsewhere...those that have it are adamant there's a problem, and those that don't are so pleased with the gun they find it hard to believe others are having issues. If it's luck of the draw whether your particular gun does "it" I would no doubt be unlucky...RC Fan: I don't know if you've looked at pictures of the two triggers online, but does yours have a little 'mud flap' projection that extends forward where the trigger emerges (ver 2), or do you have a gap where you can see into the guts (ver 1)? Thanks again guys!

Never had any problem with trigger slap in about 1000 rounds. Great pistol , my go to pistol. As for the sights , I have eye problems myself. Look into the XS Big Dot sights , they have solved almost all of my problems , fast to acquire.

Don't see the mud flap. I do need to go back to NH for the P320 Armorer's Class.

The P320 is a much nicer shooter than my 17L, or any other Glock I have tried.
