Just throwing this out for those who might be interested in coming here to kill a bunch of little Queen Charlotte islands deer and have the doctor guide us through tunings are rifles before heading out to fill our freezers full of little deer.
You are allowed 10 deer on the ferry and a total of 15
elk will be open for those brave souls and are lucky enough to get a tag!
Have facilities for shop in old masset village.

Sounds interest! I'd be in, except I don't have a hunting license yet, and this year will be especially busy for me (startup business), so I have no idea if I could swing that then.

But that kind of hunting does appeal, and I would like to go that way next year if not this year!

Rickr1100 Hey that's okay I do not think it will fly anyways if the doc can swing it I'm sure he will have fun.
When you get your hunting license I will be more than willing to take you to a couple of my secret hunting spots.
With all the talk about hunting with M 14 I thought there would be a lot more interest in a real fast-paced hunting scenario.
I have taken the time with many first-time hunters and I am sure you will walk away with a ton of stories and fill your freezer full of deer meat at the same time.

Satain is probably gonna be my co pilot for this adventure .... which is exactly what i see this trip as..... one hell of a hunting adventure .... for DEER :D not dear .... don't anyone panic. LOL
I'll bring all my m14 tools along anyways

hey, how does one get there by truck? ferry from rupert?
is there a ferry from bella coola?
do we have to book the ferry trips well in advance??
I keep meanin to call you but have been crazy busy.
will try this weekend :D

Thomas you have to catch the farry from Prince Rupert.
If you want to bring your wife she can stay at the house well we are off killing deer.
With the deer being in full rut that time a year they are easy to call.
Do not bring high-powered scopes 95% of your shooting will be close over here we talk about shooting in hundreds of feet not hundreds of yards!
Usually they are moving very fast when hunting pressure has been steady.
Thomas the spot I have in mind is lightly hunted
Best to use iron sights, red dots, and low powered scopes.
You can also catch the farry from Port Hardy but it is crazy expensive.

As for dear and deer I do not have time to worry about spelling it is halibut season!

halibut..... oh my...... now yer just drivin me nuts.
can't decide what weapons to bring with me...... my salmon and hali sticks and my tin boat or my rifles hehehe

I'll be bringing a M14 built with all TRW parts and a krieger 18.5" medium barrel, arms 18 and a leupold prismatic red dot and of course in a racy ICRW custom stock :D

FISHING TO!!!
Defenatly In!
w:h:
I'll bring my salt water rod and tackle box too! Plus I have a great reciepe for you halibut lovers too ;)

Bring your rods with you Thomas my uncle caught a 300 pound halibut where we are going!
November is not the best time for fishing halibut but I know a couple of halibut holes that the fish bite year-round.
We can try for some winter Springs as well might as well make it the ultimate hunting trip.( is Satain the camp cook HA-HA just joking )

bring the rods he says..... LOL
my gun/hunting collection utterly pales in comparison to my fishing gear collection..... I have an illness..... really...... HAHAHAHA :D

Thomas that is good the really big fish we shoot!
My uncles 300 pounder ,he never brought a gun with him so when he gaft it he fell over and had the fish land on top of him.
My uncle loves to fight but he said that halibut gave him the worst beating of his life!
Hopefully you guys can shoot some halibut HA-HA
