Found another unicorn some time ago. Paid top dollar, but got what I was after. This is a Russian military issue, all-matching, internally pinned on follower ARM, non-refurbished, as-issued 1954 Tula that came in the early 2008 IZH shipment. There were not many imported by IZH, many of them were well used and refurbished, but some were non-refurbished like this one. Many seem to also be 1954's, but I have seen other dates too. For now, I am just posting a photo of it's pistol grip from my friend's locker. Note the repair depot? 'X', the '5', the '3', and some other round acceptance stamp. This is a wonderfully interesting example and in excellent condition with a perfect bore! There is absolutely nothing that indicates refurbishment. Even the gas piston looks used--and almost all non-refurbished SKS's passed through refurbishment/inspection to replace at least that part and to tighten the odd screw before being tossed in a crate.

Sorry, my camera sucks indoors. When the sun comes out, I will post better photos.
