Near as I have found it could be an experimental cartridge made for an auto cannon.

Other than what you see here is all the info I have.

I had a handful of these. I think I was told they were a subcaliber saluting round for a naval gun.

have you noticed they fit a 12 ga perfectly?

Trim it back to make a brass 12 ga shell.

I gave at least one to 12 ga from hell.

I kinda figured of all who may know, you would be on the shortlist lol.

Yes it does match up with a 12Ga shell almost perfectly, just a might bit longer.
I'm not the owner of said cartridge, but was handed it to see if I could find any info on it.
My Google Fu can't seem to bring up any data on it, Does anyone have any links or know where it maybe referenced?

I got some- It is Proparms if it is in Canada and that is where company is,

It is for a little robot mobile cannon, with remote control, for going up

to bombs and explosives in packages/suitcases and firing into them, to set them off.

A little work and make good 12ga FH case, get min spec reamer. Ed

Put in bushing for shotgun primers

As previously stated the C128 is for a saluting cartridge and uses a percussion primer.

It is not a 20mm Neutrex cartridge case used in the disrupters. These have electric primers.

The 12 Pdr 8 Cwt Gun is used for ceremonial drill, firing salutes and as a time gun. It uses a cartridge case with an adapter which the C128 cartridge fits into. The C128 cartridge replaced the rimless C67 cartridge. The C128 is a rimmed cartridge which enables easier extraction from the adaptor.

The C128 cartridge is a standard .50 cal cartridge case that is taken off the production line before the tapering and necking operation. The cartridge contains 80 grains of propellant and 28.5 grains of zinc stearate which provides smoke when fired.
