Don't know if this site has already been posted.

Very interesting site. Some will argue that it is "grave robbing" but I read the descriptions and I see it more as very historically significant, particularily the photo of the kids playing soccer at the memorial site where a large number (100,000 of civilans) were killed.

If this is OT, my apologies.

Great stuff, thanks for posting it! :)
Have you seen the site where they unearth a T34 from a Russian swamp? It is in good condition due to being in an aneorobic swamp (therefore little oxidation). Ammo racks were full, so they deduce the tank never even had a chance to go into combat before falling through the ice.

no, but now you got my curiosity going! Got a link?

there is a section where she heads to Chernobyl on her motorcycle. VERY neat...

Yeah I saw that after. Not very mil-surpy, but kind of creepy and made me think long about what happened there. I still remember the cover of Time Magazine that month, funny how after 20 years it is still so clear. I wish I had kept that magazine... :(

That is Kid of Speed, she (yeah and she's hot too!!!) has an awesome website. If you dig around through her links, there is a section where she heads to Chernobyl on her motorcycle. VERY neat...

wow, creepy! I cant remember where I heard this, but apparently the radiation levels are now low enough to be livable. Looking at those pictures of the empty houses gives me the heebie jeebies. I wish there were more hot women who had such an interest in history!:D

that tank looks brand new!!!! makes you wonder what other pieces of history are stuck in the mud somewhere:)

awesome pictures! I am sure that it would make a veteran eerie after all these years standing next to such an anachronism.
