Interesting M14 Scope mount

I recently surfed the internet for a couple of pictures of M14s in use by the Army, and came upon this interesting installation:

Now, I have a tri-rail for my M1A, too, and I'm wondering what he used to mount his left weaver ring. Anybody have a clue?

He could have taken a dremel to a broken mount for the rear. Interesting idea, yes. Probably not the most stable design.

Thats a Knights Armament rail with the rear clip-guide mount. And good luck getting the rear clip-guide...I've been trying for 3 months. M14Doctor was going to built them, but thats been skidded.

Do you guys know whether it's possible to have both a UTG Tri-Rail and a normal scope mount installed at the same time? I see a problem because the Tri-Rail also uses the scope mount hole for a secure fit...

Well, they build a airsoft knockoff. I've been tempted to buy one just to get dimensions for the rear clip-guide, then take that to a machinist .

ive tried the airsoft knockoff .. dimensions are f*cked to say the least..didnt even come close to fitting the stripper guide

I believe not as they use the same holes for mounts.
