I realize this doesn't have anything to do with Milsurp firearms, but I figured that the people in this forum would find it interesting.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
I think there is a book going to be published about his story.
very interesting!
Talking about normandy.Heinrich Sevarloh was a 19 year old german machine gunner at omaha beach. His first day of combat was july 6th.He probably killed at least 1000 americans that morning. He fired all his ammo 16000 rounds in 5 hours through his MG42.He left the bunker after he ran out of ammo and was captured 2 days later. He was called the "beast of omaha" but it wasn't known to be him until the 50th anniversary of D-day when he made his first trip back to normandy since 1944.He never mentioned anything , even to his family for 50 years!
He wrote a book in german about his experiences after called "WN62" or bunker 62.
Now thats a long Trip and you would definetly see alot of Country Wow he had some bad luck!

"He was determined to be Korean..."
Not that determined, apparently.
I think they meant he was determined as in concluded.
Others feel that Severloh was a soldier doing exactly what a soldier is expected to do in wartime, and would have been remembered as a war hero if he had been on the victor's side.
WHO once said that history is written by the victor ??
