That Korean had to be the worst soldier ever. Captured three times in battle.
Saw a documentary on Omaha Beach recently and the official death toll of roughly 3000 was apparently way too low. They figured more like three times that number.
However, for one guy to kill 1000 enemy is a pretty wild claim. It would have had to have been a surreal experience mowing down ranks of advancing soldiers with an MG42 though.
