GREAT historical photos.
To be honest, I still get the shakes just looking at them. Spent 'way too much time listening to Uncle Joe and Comrade Nikita brandishing their sabres.
The US is the only nation ever to USE a Nuke in a war; for that reason, I think they would be the LAST to use one again.
The others just do not understand what they are playing with.
It is an appalling responsibility.
That said, I worked with a man whose life was saved by Fat Man. He was a good guy, decent, kind, humane.
No Human Being deserves what the Japanese did to our boys.
