Interesting Second World War era Teapot

I was in Belgium on the weekend and picked this up at a town antique sale ( closed the market down and all the locals had tables of antique stuff). I am not sure of the originality but it is interesting. The pot appears to be silver plated. It was made by the international Silver Co ( in business since 1898). The pot is 10" x 9.5", the eagle is 2.5" x 1.3". Looking for any thoughts on original or fake and possible value if you have seen anything similar.

At least you wore clothes when you took the photos. It is likely real, google Nazi Silver plate you will find similar items.

May have been made as early as the early thirties for the Nazi party, most likely a party office or even for a party leader members home or a gift from the party to some one in the party. Prior to the war it was common for the party to acquire/order items outside of Germany for the party or its leaders with party insignia. I know of one facility over here that has large valves, fittings and controls with swastikas and other Nazi party symbols, all prior to the war.

I expect English silver to have hallmarks.

Real? Pry off the eagle look for embossed M/51 and RMZ etc. See if mag sticks to it(early date). Beak and feathers actually look legit.

Crane used the Swastika on their valves etc, but it had nothing to do with the Nazis.

No,they wouldn't.I recall at least 2 episodes when items with nazi connections were turned down for moral reasons(I think it was plates/ware and NSDAP book of some sort).

On other hand I don't remember ever seeing soviet/communist items being discussed at all.I hope they turn them down too.

I think it's silly a bit.Like it or not they are part of history too.

If it was SS issued, it should be RZM Marked, otherwise it might raise a red flag.
