I love shooting my DE in .44, but it does get a little tiring holding a big hunk of metal that size - my arms get tired after 40 or 50 rounds. Don't find the large grip an issue - I have big hands anyways. It's almost comical how big the thing is 
Every so often I toy with the idea of picking up the 50AE barrel for it (DE 44 and 50 use the same frame, just swap the barrels), but really I don't need yet another calibre to re-load, for now. Never say never I guess...
