$$$ into reloading

when i buy a new gun, i tend to allocate another 500-1k for a new press, dies, powder, brass, and shot- i believe in having a DEDICATED press for each caliber, so all i have to do is monkey with the powder charge as i'm doing my load development- i may have multiple guns in one caliber, but i sight them in using one load

Total invested in equipment?
3 Lee-Pro 1000's
1 RCBS Rockchucker
Chargemaster Dispenser
Over 2 dozen die sets
Scales, trimmers, tools etc...
Total spent roughly $1250 (I love sales & auctions & the EE).

Reloading Bench - Roughly $500 in lumber and the $100 1/8" thick lexan sheet on top (Prevents dents :))

Containers for my reloads - $500
10-20K of brass for all calibres - $500 (Again, love auctions & sales & donated brass)
Powder, bullets & primers - Continuous & ongoing. Probably spend $1-2K a year or so.

And not to out-do myself I added a new Lyman 1200 version 3 of their powered powder dispenser couple of days ago. Awesome. Stays within one or 2 granules of consistency and it's fast. "Only" $400 or so, so I needed more powders and decided with the dollar in the tank again a few thousand primers and bullets were in order, "only" another 2K. Ain't it fun though?

... I used to buy a couple of hundred bullets at a time, and have a thousand primers max in my cabinet. I now have roughly four thousand bullets ready to load, 12 different types of powder, 8 boxes of primers (1000s), etc...

Ditto! Been reloading for just under two years, & that's exactly the boat I'm in:

Pails & pails of brass (some in calibers I don't own...)
8500 bullets
10,000 primers
18 lbs of powder (9 types)
1 Lee Loadmaster progressive press
1 Dillon 550 semi-progressive press
1 Lee Classic Cast single stage press
6 sets of dies
1 beam & 1 electronic scale
Calipers
+ a whole pile of odds + ends...

Two years ago I started with a budget of around $500 to $600:eek:

I keep telling my wife I'm saving money, but sooner or later, she's bound to figure it out!! :D

Just about to get into it,

Projecting my startup costs to be around $500, not including supplies. Hopefully the costs stay under control as I will only be loading one caliber for the near future.
