Canceled. Planning for late October.

With the growth of long range shooting and interest in Precision Rifle Series style matches I have teamed up with the Petawawa gun club to run a two day clinic and match on July 1st and 2nd at CFB Petawawa. The format for the weekend will consist of instruction on the Saturday and 8 stage match on the Sunday. Space will be limited to 16 shooters for the clinic/match and an additional 16 shooters for the Sunday Match. We are keeping the numbers low to ensure more one on one training.#

The clinic will focus on the basics of PRS shooting, some of the topics that will be covered are :
1.Equipment selection from calibers, stocks, actions, etc.
2.Scope: lingo, FFP and SFP, utilizing your reticle, proper set up, etc.
3. Gear: bags, slings, dope holders, etc.
4. Preparing for a match: dry fire, Practice, Mental, etc.
5. Preparing for a stage: dial or hold, make a plan and stick to it.
6. ROing a stage.#
7. Solid zeros and chronographed to create dope cards#

We will plan to be on the range most of the day. Expect to shoot between 150 and 200 rounds on Saturday and 80 to 90 rounds on Sunday. One limiting factor we have at CFB Petawawa is only having targets at one distance. As this is a entry level course this should not be a big deal because it will allow you to focus more on building solid positions quickly instead of dialing/holding dope. We will be shooting ether at 500 or 600m for the clinic and Match.

I would recommend that you have shot at least one of Tactical Teachers (TT) PR clinic weekends or have similar experience so you can get the most out of this clinic.

We will meet across from the Base Firehall (S-105). Once you show your ID at the main gate, make a quick right and you will see the Fire Hall. Look to your left and you will see a white building with 5 garage doors (P-141 Bldg) . We will be meeting in that parking lot. Then we will all convoy to Range Control for your Access Passes.

Plan to be at the meeting spot no later then 7:30 both days. I will be sending out the finer details to registered shooters when we get closer to the date.

The cost for the weekend will be $70 for both days and $25 for the Sunday match. If you have any questions please post below because I am sure others are wanting to know the same thing. You can also message me on hear or email at#ryan.mcle25@gmail.com#

Payment can be made by emt toryan.mcle25@gmail.com#with the password prsshoot#

As always bring your $ 10 for the Sentry that Range Control requires us to provide. Morgan has been casually collecting some monies to help out the sentry (ies) but some folks see to have overlooked this extension of courtesy and good will. Now we have to cough up with a more serious application for the needed post. The $10 covers you for the weekend. Morgan will be collecting this fee AT the range.
