Introducing.......me

Hi everybody,I've been a loooong time lurker here,I finally got around to registering..so this is my official HELLO!
I am a huge gun nut(much like everyone here)...I've finally decided to go through the process to get the PAL etc....
I am from Quebec,so I'd like advice for the steps I need to take to get what I need to start shooting here.It seems that in Quebec it's a more tedious process to get your PAL.pleasecorrect me if I'm wrong.

Anyway,a little about me......I have always had this deep fascination and dare I say it?..love for guns,I dunno what it stems from but I can't help it.Maybe it's the mechanical aspect of it that draws me to it?
I am a mechanic(i fix anything)
and the thought and precision that goes into a firearm is astounding at times.
It's so simplistic and yet so complex at the same time.
I look at a gun the same way some people watch a ballet or something like that.
I don't own any guns yet but am hoping to change that.
I DO own several paintball guns but it just isn't the same.
I mostly like pistols and revolvers but I have an affinity for AK's...dunno why..but I do.and well who can resist an M16??or an MP5.....I can go on and on....
well I'm gonna shut for a bit but I will be back(not to lurk)...see y'all :canadaFlag:

Hello and welcome. There are a lot of people with a lot of good information here. I'm in Nova Scotia and can't tell you about the processes in Quebec, but my suggestion is that you call Canada Firearms Centre (1-800-731-4000) and talk to them about the licensing and gun registration process. It is federal, rather than provincial, and so it should be pretty much the same throughout the country. There are some local differences, but the main process is the same for everyone. And I also find the variation in the design of pistols extremely interesting. For more than 100 years people have been designing and building self-loading pistols, and the development of them is pretty fascinating. Enjoy the site.
