Hello, CGN community!
I am happy to introduce myself and my business to the community at large. Many of you already know me from 10 years of dealing with Old Guns Canada, but for those who don't, I will gladly give you a short introduction:
I started Old Guns Canada in 2013 and have been supplying Canadian and American collectors with fine antique handguns ever since. I spend much time each year travelling the US and Canada visiting antique gun shows and auctions. I import and export mostly in North America but occasionally from Europe as well. Over the years I have built an extensive network of suppliers and fellow collectors on both sides of the border who find me all sorts of interesting stuff. As you all know, antique gun laws in Canada are complicated, and therefore I need to educate my suppliers - and customers - about what is acceptable and what is not.

Over the next few weeks and months I will post threads relating to antique handguns (sorry, no long arms), let you know about new shipments and upcoming shows and events. Please feel free to contact me here or through my website if you have any questions. ADVICE IS ALWAYS FREE!
Best regards,
Chris

no rifles, only pistols? or is it just because thats what you have right now when i checked?

anyway i had no idea you guys existed ill keep an eye out i have a few antiques i still need in my collection :).

Hello, Ced1942.
I only do handguns because frankly I lack the expertise for long arms. There is so much to know about handguns, I don't think I have the brain capacity to learn all about rifles and muskets, too.
Oh, and then there's shotguns, too...

I had followed Chris's site for a fair length of time and had read comments here on CGN in the general discussion forum about how his descriptions were an honest evaluation of the good and the blemishes that come with buying antiques and that he would take the time to discuss it all with you. I recently bought one of my "holy grail" antique revolvers from him that I had been looking for a long time and I was very pleased that I got fair value for I had to pay. Welcome Chris

Hello, and welcome to the banner list. Seen the name come up a time or two, so it's great to have the presence. Do you ever deal in deactivated (welp) handguns?

I've had occasion to deal with Chris on several firearms, buying and selling. He's a very good gentleman to deal with but as a buyer it's also up to you to ensure you ask the right questions.

Thank you all for your kind words. I always encourage my customers - or even would-be customers to reach out to me and discuss what is on their minds. Like a smart guy once said, it takes years to foster good customers but minutes to lose them. Hope to hear from you all!

Never had "deactivated" guns. My customers are always keen on properly functioning antiques, some even like to shoot them.
