We have had requests for a quick release type mechanism for the MagWedge KwikRail. This is our answer to the issue of the somewhat slow process of using screws to attach and re-attach your KwikRail.

Pictures tell the story better:

This is the bit we are talking about. Another Kwik Pin can be seen on the target. Note ball detent, this must at least pass through both sides of SKS dust cover, and preferably both sides of SKS rail.

Good idea to have the bolt down and spring released before removing the pin. Even then some support is needed with thumb to hold the guts in the rifle.

Now rifle is very quick to disassemble and reassemble.

The Kwik Pin will be included free with every new rail purchase for the next week, or as quantities permit.

I will make them available on the website shortly at a price of $9.95

Ghetto QD, nice. Hmm, I could see some definite potential for replacing that with AR style detent pins. That would help to prevent the pin from jumping away into the great beyond.

LOL

Pin holds very well, the spring loaded detent prevents them passing the receiver cover pin hole.

I have put about 200 rounds through the rifle with no movement whatsoever on the pin.

There wasn't even any "walking" of the pin evident at all.

I must post a video, it's quite an impressive 10 second disassembly and re assembly process.

I do recall you suggested it, but to be honest I had considered it earlier but didn't know where to source the hardware.

In the interests of getting the product to market I went ahead with what we had a supply of and what I felt would be the most secure hardware possible.

My machinist came up with these, and I thought they made sense as long as they held up. The target in the background was shot using an SKS so equipped ...
