Hello,
I have been a member for the past several years but have not been very active on here. I have a wide appreciation for many types of firearms ranging from vintage revolvers such as the Smith & Wesson model 3 all the way up to precision rifles using interesting calibers such as the .280 Ackley Improved. I have had custom rifles built for me and I am interested in advanced techniques such as chambering classic cartridges but giving them longer throats for high BC bullets and running classic cartridges with slightly different twist rates. I want to use the Canadian Gun Nutz as a place to discuss these subjects and hopefully find reloading components for rare calibers such as the 44 Webley.
Has anyone here tried chambering classic cartridges such as the 25-06 but set them up with a longer throat and tighter twist rate for pushing higher BC bullets?
