Anybody purchase the IOR Tactical 12-52x56/IL TERMINATOR that can give any feedback on the scope? Not interested in any info on the Canadian dealer as i'm already familiar with that situation. Nor am i interested in hearing the past grievances with IOR. Any thoughts/issues with this particular scope would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
If I were to spend 3000$ish on a scope I'd give the Recon a good look, but like you, I've haven't seen all that many hands on reviews on this forum.
 
Thanks guys! I will do some research on the Recon. I have looked at reviews from south of the border but was hoping someone on here had purchased this scope and could confirm or deny some of the things I read.
 
I have a IOR recon. It's heavy, and the finish is pretty soft. After some light use and handling some of the paint has worn. But the glass is very clear and the price I paid was much better than anything close to it in performance. Factor in extra cost for hard to find 40mm rings.

How about the turrets, clicks are consistent and solid after some use? I've also read about some complaints on the use of the parallax, ie it being awkward to use compared to other high end scopes. I know some of the old leupolds had similar parallax adjustment. Would you buy another one?

The parallax seems a bit touchy at high magnification, if it's off by a hair the image is blurry. After owning a kahles and the IOR, I would probably buy another kahles. The IOR has some great features and is very compact and impressive glass with 4-28 power with a wide field of vision. But the scope is heavy, and the painted finish really bums me out on a $3500 scope. Also the reticle isn't as fine as I'd like. It blocks out a significant amount of the target at maximum magnification. Turret clicks are still crisp and defined. Really like how big and easy they are to adjust one click at a time. I'm not the best person to review the scope though. I'm a very amature shooter.

I too am an amateur shooter but I value your opinion as you've been able to do a hands on comparison. Also what you have stated is exactly what I've learned in my research of these scopes. Really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions in this thread and pms.
