IOR Valada

Don't know who it is now but there have been alot of posts on here about lack of proper warranty service from the manufacturer, even though the former dist. is a well respected member here. Again, from what i read the dist. has done everything possible but the manu. is not stepping up to the plate, this is just what i have gleaned from on here.......

Yeah, i have read mixed review on the Warranty service of IOR.

I think that the main factor is that you have to ship this in Europe and thats can be problem sometimes.

But they make top class scope.
Exemple, compare to the Legendary Leupold the glass of the IOR is one big step higher.
And yes, i had five Leupold.

But now i dont know if someone carry the IOR line in Canada.

There were at least two well-established and respected Canadian dealers who carried IOR Valdada, Hirsch Precision and Wolverine Supplies. Neither do any longer.
Both dealers reported unhappy customers and unacceptable warranty support from IOR Valdada.

Thanks for the input and what have happen with Hirsch.

On 5 Leupold i have send two at Korth for repair, so i think they can all have problems.
The fact is that with Leupold they send me a new scope 2 weeks later ...

Very sad for IOR because they have one of the best glass in the market...

I have owned several IOR scopes, and still have 3 - two 4X hunting scopes and their big 9-36X tactical job with the 34mmtube that I use for a base line scope for rifle evaluation and I often have it on my shoot long range rifles.
If these scopes ever go "out of whack", I won't selling them , if I can't get them serviced I'll toss them.
Sad, because they are a good scope, but if something is broke it doesn't matter how good the product is, that particular product is a piece of junk!!
if a Leupold breaks, it can get fixed quick. An IOR? Ican't answer that, but I'm not too optimistic....

Yesterday I looked at what we have left in IOR and was discussiing this with Mat of ISnipe fame. We both liked the optics and reticle in the IOR 2.5-10 with Dragunov reticle and Mat thought the optics were superior to the IOR 10X56. They did have different coatings, with one developed for military. The 40mm models had truly high-level resolution + other optical qualities and features such as positive high click count per rev. May put this on coyote rifle, as I can't afford to take new Nightforce and Sightrons from stock all the time.

Won't rehash the businss side, other than to say warranty must go through authorized dealer which may not exist.

Regards,

Peter
