Anyone use IOR Valdada scope mounts and rings? I was offered a good deal on a set of Nato green heavy duty rings but I am not familiar with them. Thanks if anyone can relate their experience with these.

IOR

I have an IOR scope, 35 mm tube, 56 mmobjective and I purchased rings and base as well. I have just completed mounting it and will take it to the range next week. As far as Picitany base I cannot tell the difference between this one and my more expensive nightforce base. I have a set of TPS rings and these are nearly identical. They are just as heavy and rugged, the only difference is the TPS rings are machined to a smoother finish. After lapping I they are the same. I will tell you more after I have been to the range with the whole setup

Fantastic rings, I have 2 sets and they are indestructable. The rings are much heavier than most bases, so if you're looking for rigid and tough, they are definitly the way to go. Machined out of steel castings. If i could afford it I'd have them or similar models on all my rifle/scope setups. :D bearhunter

Have used IOR nases on a few .338LM rifles and consider them to be very good, but I'm biased as I sell them. Scopes are also top notch.

I have seen and used a few sets. The ones that I have seen are crudely or roughly finished but do seem to do the job when they fit. I have seen sets that were unable to clamp to some rails.

I would say give them another year or two to refine their product. Scopes appear to be improving and will hopefully one day they will have the same reliability as Nightforce. There are a number of better products on the market, but in 1-2 years IOR should have ironed out most of the problems.

You can save a few dollars on them now but don't be surprised if you have to send it in for service..........so in your case make sure the set fits the rail.

TPS also makes a fine ring/rail product. Bang for the buck Tactical Precision Products are hard to beat.
