hi,i was just interwebbing and found this site www.cssoptics.com they are the exclusive distributor for valdada scopes in Canada. prices look good. I have an older 6x24x56 tactical and love it.

were there not alot of horror stories about the older IOR's and thier repair/warranty nightmares? Never seen one in person but just wondering if thats a thing of the past or a continuing issue.

I don't know if they were quite "horror" stories but I do remember either a dealer or distributor on here explaining that they stopped selling them because although they were very good equipment for the money, of course there were some with defects and getting warranty fulfillment on those took too much time and trouble.

Read some reviews on places like Snipershide, etc..

They don't have a good reputation and even worse warranty/customer service.

How would you describe over 6 moths for warranty and also declining warranty on a new, unused scope with well-published faults? And yes, we imported them into Canada.

I have a 2-12x32 and used it for many years without any issues, very good quality for the money in my experience. I have Zeiss, Hensoldt, S&B, Swaro and other optics to compare with, just my 2 cents

Don't know anything about their warranties, but they claim to use Schott glass and have some very innovative designs. If the ex-Soviet factories were 1/4 as quick to respond to the market as IOR they would be far ahead of where they are, as their glass can be every bit as good, maybe even better.
