Hello as the title says i'm trying to find a good combo for my ipsc production (125pf - 135 pf) load but as you know yourself, there's so many I'm all confused.
These are the components I'm using: Montana gold 124gr fmj, cci-500 small pistol primer, winchester WSF powder and mixed brass.

All your help would be greatly appreciated. And fyi I did try looking in some reloading books for data (Lee and Lyman books) but there info just states the min and max.

I am using the lee pro 1000 to reload so my powder measure is with the auto disk system so I'm limited with the powder drop weight.

I'm looking at the Hodgdon reloading center website, and they're listing:

* Disclaimer: Check the Hodgdon site, as I may have made some errors *
- a 124 GR. FMJ (no idea of manufacturer or cartridge profile, probably RN) - they say 1.169" COAL
- Starting load Winchester WSF, 4.7gr might get you 1015fps
- Maximum 5.3gr for 1115fps

124gr*1015fps/1000 gets you 125.86PF. Don't be afraid to raise your power factor a bit, you need a minimum 125PF for minor, but if there's any deviation in your loads, or changes in altitude or weather at the Match site, you could blow PF and be "shooting for fun". Some of the other IPSC guys can give you a better PF number to aim for, but I'd say 130PF would be safer.

Also, speeds are variable from gun to gun, and barrel length to barrel length, so you HAVE to chrony your load in your gun to know for sure.

I'm hoping to get to an NB shoot this year - all my family in in Saint John. Just have to work out the right dates.

Safe shooting!
